May 2024  – Patrice Jean has been elected to serve as President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA), where she begins a one-year term this May.

As President, Patrice will focus on building a stronger community for the IP bar in the jurisdictions that it serves and increasing membership to a goal of having more than 1000 members before her term ends in May 2025.

Founded in 1922, the NYIPLA is a leading organization for U.S. lawyers interested in intellectual property law. In addition to educating the public and practitioners and advocating for intellectual property interests, the NYIPLA works with foreign associations to harmonize international conventions for the protection of intellectual property.
