Groundbreaking Human Rights Victory Against Bolivia

An HHR team led by Elizabeth Solander and Diego Durán de la Vega obtained a sweeping victory for client Brisa De Angulo Losada before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. The judgment was the culmination of over a decade of HHR’s and a broad legal team's work before multiple legal bodies to hold the government of Bolivia accountable for its actions.

Biotronik Qui Tam Win on Motion to Dismiss

Katie Coleman, Laura Perkins, Rita Haeusler and Erin Diers secured a win for longtime firm client Biotronik, Inc. in a qui tam case filed against the medical device manufacturer in federal court in California. Brought by two former Biotronik employees, the complaint alleged the company had engaged in a nepotistic hiring scheme, and had hired the brother of a physician in order to induce the physician to use more of Biotronik’s products. The court dismissed the case in its entirety.

Arbitration Victory for Ecommerce Client

Fara Tabatabai and Erin Diers won a complete victory for a large ecommerce retailer in a confidential emergency arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules. Following a two-day hearing, HHR obtained a full grant of emergency relief for the client, including a mandatory injunction with no bond requirement.

Win for Imperial Pacific in Northern Mariana Islands

Laura Perkins, Kevin Abikoff and Sam Salyer notched yet another victory for client Imperial Pacific International (IPI) when the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands granted IPI’s mid-trial motion and dismissed breach of contract and unjust enrichment claims brought against IPI by an engineering firm.

Products Liability Argument Before NJ Supreme Court

Charlie Cohen argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of amicus curiae the New Jersey Defense Association in the products liability case McGinnis v. Bard.
