Paris, Feb. 5, 2025 — Alexander Marcopoulos has joined Hughes Hubbard as a partner in the firm’s International Arbitration practice and will be based in the Paris office. He brings extensive experience representing companies and states in high-stakes international projects and disputes, with a focus on the construction and energy sectors.

As part of his core disputes practice, Alexander regularly provides advice and advocacy in construction, commercial, investor/state and maritime arbitrations carried out under the auspices of a variety of institutional and ad hoc rules, including those of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). In addition, Alexander provides strategic advice to clients to help them manage their projects and portfolio of contracts with an eye to minimizing litigation risk.
