Firm Assists United Airlines in $433.6M Bond Offering

Hughes Hubbard & Reed acted as legal advisor to United Airlines Inc. in a $433.6 million public offering of pass-through trust certificates, series 2015-1.
 
The transaction closed on Nov. 17, 2015. The underwriting group included Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank Securities and Goldman Sachs.
 
United will use the proceeds to finance 10 aircraft: six new Boeing 737-924ER aircraft delivered between August and October 2015; and four new Boeing 787-9 aircraft delivered between September and November 2015.

United provides the world's most comprehensive route network, including hubs in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC The airline is a founding member of Star Alliance, which provides service to 192 countries via 28 member airlines.
