Valli M. Hall is a managing analyst in the Litigation department of Hughes Hubbard & Reed's Kansas City office. She focuses principally on product liability defense. With over 20 years' experience, Valli has partnered with attorneys, both inside and outside the firm, during all phases of litigation, including discovery, document collection, review and production, witness preparation and trial support. Her particular emphasis has been on marketing, sales, consumer awareness and related regulatory issues for firm clients.
Valli is called upon to examine and analyze varied and voluminous information sources, including client records, to distill and report relevant case facts to substantiate key trial themes and/or to refute opposing parties' claims. She carries out fact investigations and develops and maintains resources relied upon by counsel and clients for governmental filings, investor relations communications, deposition and trial outlines, and in response to discovery.
She is adept in the analysis of national survey data, principally that which relates to trends in behavior, purchase and use patterns. Notably, she has assisted with the preparation of submissions and presentations addressing issues raised as a result of Food and Drug Administration regulations, as well as with various client-industry governmental submissions.
One of her long-term assignments has been supporting the preparation of company executives and records custodians for deposition and/or trial testimony, including the creation and maintenance of demonstratives, outlines, reports and expert reliance materials for those witnesses.
Valli has conducted and supervised the review and analysis of client documents, both for emerging issues, and to meet discovery obligations. She has participated in on-site collection of client records, and has assisted with the organization of these materials into litigation support databases and other systems used to track and report the historical production and use of these materials.
Valli is also skilled in creating case/client-specific presentations and demonstrative exhibits.
