Sergon Sancar is an associate in the Paris office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed. As a member of the Global Investigations, Enforcement and Compliance practice group, Sergon assists clients with matters involving the French Sapin II Law, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, U.K. Bribery Act, international anti-corruption law and compliance, and third-party due diligence. Sergon has experience conducting internal investigations related to allegations of corporate misconduct, including corruption and fraud. Sergon has also assisted a broad range of clients in reviewing transactions and providing advice on UK-related economic sanctions, export controls and trade compliance, including in the energy, aviation, and luxury sectors. In addition, through a secondment to a large oil & gas company, Sergon provided general in-house legal advice and managed several internal investigations related to renewable energies projects.
Prior to joining Hughes Hubbard, Sergon interned at several international law firms in Paris and London. He also interned at the Spanish Congress in Madrid and the Audiencia Nacional, Spain’s central criminal court under the supervision of former Judge Baltasar Garzón Real. Sergon is admitted to practice
in France, in Spain and is a Solicitor in England and Wales.
