Rhidian David is a member of the Corporate and Business Transactions team in Paris. Rhidian specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures and corporate reorganizations. He advises a broad range of clients, including multinationals, financial institutions and investment funds on projects in France and internationally. He has particular experience in the energy, infrastructure and financial institutions sectors, particularly in Africa.
He is dual-qualified to practice in France and the UK, has a track record in both jurisdictions, and is bilingual in English and French. As such, he is well placed to advise on cross-border deals, spanning both common and civil law jurisdictions.
Rhidian is involved in all stages of a transaction, from structuring, negotiating deal terms and carrying out due diligence, to drafting and negotiating the contractual documentation and obtaining foreign investment clearances.
He has advised on the privatization of a major distributor of chemical products with activities across Africa, and the sale, on lucrative terms, of a world-renowned luxury fashion brand.
Previous Experience
Before joining Hughes Hubbard & Reed, Rhidian was an associate in the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions practice of the Paris office of SNR Denton. He began his career in 1999 in the Corporate department of the London office of Denton Wilde Sapte before moving to Paris in 2003.
