Emma L. Baratta is counsel in Hughes Hubbard & Reed’s Intellectual Property practice group. Before graduating from Harvard Law School, Emma was an intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where she worked on matters in the General Crimes and Narcotics units of the Criminal Division. As an attorney, in addition to her intellectual property work, Emma has previously worked in white-collar criminal defense, with a focus on witness preparation and representing clients at proffer sessions and hearings. Her pro bono practice includes criminal defense matters as well as immigration proceedings before immigration judges, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Second Circuit.
