Prior to Chuck’s retirement in 2010, he was managing partner of Hughes Hubbard for more than two decades. Chuck joined the firm from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1970, was made a partner in the Corporate Department in 1980 but left five years later to become General Counsel and Secretary of the Fortune 500 company Collins & Aikman. In 1987, he became Chief Financial Officer of the company, which later merged. Chuck returned to Hughes Hubbard as Managing Partner in 1989.
